The embossing is vastly and widely applied for the printing of the traditional wedding cards. The embossing technique is not only applied for the printing of the text but also for the simple images. Usually, the simple images upon the traditional wedding cards are printed in one color but in most typical cases, more than one color printing is also adopted for the embossing. For the embossing, the traditional and most popular color is the Golden or Silver but in some cases, the red color is the equally popular one. For the printing of the wedding cards, thin, good quality, smooth and plain cardboard is applied. In other situations, the golden or silver colored cardboard is used while the red or some contrasting colors are used to print the text or the images. If the colored cardboard is applied for the printing of the wedding card, the images may be printed with simple printing techniques with the multi-colored printing. The traditional wedding cards are printed in various shapes but commonly the rectangular or square cards of two pages are used.
